Photos & how previews are made
LookForge has no accounts and does not collect personal information. The photo you choose is a standard photograph that may include your face; the app does not perform facial recognition and does not collect or store any biometric or face-geometry data. To create your preview, the photo is sent securely to our AI provider, Google's Gemini API, to generate your cut or beard preview. Your photo is processed in real time and is not retained on our servers or by our AI provider after the preview is generated — we never keep your photos on our own servers.
If you save a preview to your Portfolio, the original photo and the generated image are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us, and you can delete them at any time from within the app or by uninstalling LookForge.
Analytics
LookForge collects anonymous usage analytics through TelemetryDeck — for example, which screens are opened and which features are used. This data is not linked to your identity, is never used to track you across apps or websites, and contains no personal information. We use it only to understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
Diagnostics
We may receive anonymised crash reports via Apple's standard crash reporting system. These contain no personal data and are used solely to fix bugs.
Permissions LookForge may request
Camera & Photos — used only to capture or select the photo for your preview. Your photo is sent to our AI provider solely to generate that preview and is not stored or shared for any other purpose.
Your choices
